Wonderful walks across the fields through the gate, trips out for walks at Aldeburgh and Southwold and delicious fish and chip lunch at the Ship in Dunwich.
All the delicious homemade goodies were very much appreciated - thank you.
My highlight has to be a morning cuppa on the sofa watching the sun rise - just perfect!

After teaching my classes about the Saxon burials at Sutton Hoo (for years!), I finally got to see it on New Years Eve. It was wonderful and a great place to let our three beagles stretch their legs.
We spent New Years Day morning on Covehithe Beach, before driving down the coast and visiting some lovely towns and villages.
We've really loved our stay here - it's perfectly positioned to explore Suffolk's countryside and coast.
The welcome pack was gorgeous (we particularly enjoyed the bread and biscuits, thank you!).
We've loved our morning coffees looking out at the views - just stunning.

Clean + comfortable. Lovely homemade treats. Dogs loved the walks (Tunstall Forest is great). Heatwave was the icing on the cake.

What an absolute gem of a cottage! The location is perfect, fabulous views, and so quiet and peaceful. We felt we were in a haven of calm. The cottage is beautifully fitted out and has everything you could ever want inside and out. We are already planning our return visit next year!

The perfect place to spend my birthday. Hillcrest is the most well equipped holiday cottage we have stayed in and all the home made treats were wonderful. It is hard to find somewhere that is suitable for both our dogs and my wheelchair and Hillcrest is perfect! We hope to return in the not too distant future. Thankyou!

We've had a most peaceful stay here at Hillcrest. We escaped the "urban" life for a true getaway. Julia has made the cottage so beautiful that we didn't want to leave! Fred & Barney enjoyed the walks from the front door and we enjoyed Julia's home-made goodies. Looking forward to coming back next year!!

An amazing "quirky" cottage, loved the unusual features such as "The Rocket"! Really did appreciate walking our two dogs over the fields directly from your garden. Lovely house, very well equipped, thank you (the best equipped kitchen we've ever seen in a holiday house :) ). You obviously care about your house and garden as well as your guests. Beautiful area; many good walks enjoyed (particularly enjoyed Snape Marshes). Southwold has best beaches but Aldeburgh is lovely and quiet. We very much enjoyed our relaxing stay. Thank you.

Thanks for a lovely week and for the excellent goodies on arrival (the biscuits didn't last long!) Superb well equipped cottage, nice views and nice and quiet.
